He always wore his little hat
He always worked so hard
He always held his arms like that
He always wanted hugs
I always looked and felt so shy
I always couldn't move
I always stood along nearby
I always felt like maybe if
I said hello
He'd say it back
I'd take his grip
He'd squeeze me back
We'd walk alone and arm and arm
We'd stay
He was at work
I saw him there
He left on time
I waited for him
I thought maybe I could walk him home
He went alone, a different way
I went back home, another day
I told myself
I said that I'd be brave and then tomorrow
We could walk along
I'd take his arm
He'd hold me tight
We'd start to hug
He'd look as happy as a robot could
I'd feel like I did something good

I asked for him when I arrived
He hadn't been at work that day
No one knew where he had been
No one there could find him
I asked around the area
He last was seen inside a door
I looked but there was nothing there
I wonder if he's safe somewhere

I guess it wasn't really-
I guess I was just being-
I probably shouldn't waste the-
