This robot cleans the underground city caves, but it cannot tell the difference between garbage and valuable treasure.

This robot, and I know you know it, this robot cannot tell. Trash. From treasure. Now consider that. Turn that over in your mind. Cannot tell. Trash. From treasure. Maybe this means he had a bad programmer. Or maybe this means his programmer got it right. Because we have a programmer too. But our programmer wanted to try something different. He didn't say "if $ equals {value} then {treasure}", no sir, no sir, no sir. He said "set $ to {user input}". "Set $ to {user input}". What a gift! What a great programmer we had! We can do anything we want with anything we want to do it with! And yet we let other people tell us what that variable is. We all fight over diamonds, oh Lord gotta have the diamonds. We all want gold, oh Jesus help me, help me get the gold. We all chase down oil and fur and cars and wide screen televisions and women and new watches and toys. And meanwhile this little robot just sweeps it all up, just sweeps it up like it was all the same. And maybe we should think about that the next time we start defining our variables.
